This is my rant for the day….and I am sure we have all experienced this one.  Technology is great until you have an issue.  Example:  I call a company for what I think is a simple question.  I get the answering service and listen to some really bad music for about 15 minutes, finally someone comes on the line and of course they don’t know and transfer me to another department where I wait another 10 to 15 minutes of more crappy music. Another person answers and tells me I was transferred to the wrong department and transfers me again….more crappy music. Finally, I got a recording that tells me to go to their website online to handle this and was hung up on, and I start all over again.    This is a wonderful way to start my day.  My next call will be to the car dealer ship for a tuneup…..wonder how many times I have to be transferred there?  Ya’all have a great day and make some wonderful memories.

I listen to talk radio every morning and there is a tech guy that tells of the latest and the greatest things to come out on the market. He was reviewing a new game for children to play on their phones or tablets. This is what he said “ do you and the wife want some quiet time conversation at dinner? Just load this new game for your kids and they can play it while you all are having dinner”. Few years back families sat down to dinner with the tv off and actually had conversations including the kids about what happened that day. I guess those days of teaching social skills are over. Have you gotten a new phone recently? At the store they say we moved everything over from the old phone to the new phone…you are good to go. You go home and spend the next two days on the phone with the help line just to learn where all you stuff is now located. Remember the old days when you just plugged it in or least got a how to book with it. Everything is so complicated now.

September is winding down and we celebrated one evening by going to a Biker Bar. What a hoot, all you can eat spaghetti and a great band. By the looks of the 30 bikes parked outside I would say these bikers are on the wealthier side. I imagine these scruffy guys worn suits during the week. So much fun, can’t wait to go back.
