Well, it’s the week before Thanksgiving and all my friends are trying to eat less in order to be able to pig out on the big turkey day. Personally, I don’t think that actually works for me. My week before is trying to keep my house clean after Howard’s House Cleaning team was here. With family coming I want them to think I keep a sparkling clean house at all times. I have the maids concentrate on the tile floors and of course the bathrooms. It doesn’t have to last it’s all about first impression. Once the grown kids get here it all goes to hell anyway. Funny how adult kids come home and revert to the teenage years and think Mom will pick up after them. All kidding aside I love having them for a few days….emphasis on a few days! I feel I am finally coming down from the Thanksgiving celebration, thank God for elastic waistbands,  and now gearing up for Christmas/Hanukkah Season!  We have a fund raising party planned for the 15th and of course to make my home sparkle and shine I have Howard’s House Cleaning Referral maids in Laguna Hills to handle that. I always love this time of year because of the holiday music.  Music is a universal language and can take you to another time and place with wonderful memories.  I can hear an oldies song and I am instantly in the place and time….same with Christmas music.  My favorite is Silent Night and it doesn’t matter in what language it is sung in.  My maids from Howard’s House Cleaning Referral in South Orange County walked in and started singing the carole that was playing.  We laugh and became an instant trio….this is a memory that will last forever.

Well, one holiday down and few more big ones coming up.  If you survived the family Thanksgiving followed by Black Friday you are a warrior.  This is my favorite time of the year for parties and  I have Howard’s maids scheduled for an extra cleaning adding my refrigerator and oven for  preparation for the upcoming food fests.  Baking cookies and candies is my favorite tradition.  Messy, but fun. This year I tried to find calorie free treats….to no avail and who really wants to eat that stuff during this fun pig out time. plus, everyone will be joining the gym in January, right?
